Command: NLD
Description: Defines the walls and soffits.
How to Apply: After running the app, the following window will appear:
- Unit Selection: Choose between Imperial or Metric units.
- Line With Selection: Select the desired line width from the dropdown menu.
After clicking on the draw button, the form will close, and you can proceed with placing sprinklers
in the AutoCAD environment.
- Defining room:
- Rectangular Rooms: Draw a rectangle to define the room’s perimeter.
- Irregular Rooms: Use the “P” key to draw a polyline for irregular room shapes. Press
“C” to connect the last point of the polyline to the first point.
- Defining Soffit:
- Without Soffit: Select the “Next Room” option or press “N”.
- With Soffit: Select “Add Soffit” or Press “A” and then draw a polyline. The first and
last points of the polyline shall be on the wall. The software detects the soffit and
displays it in yellow; you can accept it by selecting “Yes,” reject by “No,” or reverse
it by “Invert”. If the room has other separate soffits, Press “A” to define it. Follow
the same procedure for the new soffit.
Additional Tips:
- If the options are not shown in AutoCAD, press “F12” to activate them. This is called
dynamic input.
